I feel like a hovering helicoptor mom, using geography as an excuse to track my lovely daughter through Europe. :-)

LINDSAY'S HOME! LINDSAY'S HOME! LINDSAY'S HOME! SHE'S UPSTAIRS ASLEEP! Wake up, Lindsay, wake up!!!!! This is oh so difficult to wait for her to wake up...she didn't get to sleep for over 24 hours on her flight back from Europe, so I must BE PATIENT!!!!!

claudiascobee said

at 8:32 am on Jun 16, 2011

hahaah! well im soooooooooo happy for you and can you please tell lindsay i said hi along with all of the other superbrains.
Tanks!!!! and remember mrs. shanahan...PATIENT IS A VERTUE!!

June Shanahan said

at 9:21 am on Jun 16, 2011

Thank you...I am trying to be patient, but here's the thing...if I open her bedroom door, the dogs will go in and wake her up. That is a mommy trick, but it is not practicing patience, is it? Should I open her door, or should I let her sleep. Oh dear...what to do?

Alex said

at 2:01 pm on Jun 16, 2011

Is she awake now?

claudiascobee said

at 2:15 pm on Jun 16, 2011

well what i would do [if she was still asleep] is step into her shoses [its a figure of speech] and think "if i was her would i want to be woken up if i hadn't slept in like 24 hr.?" so while your waiting [PATIENTLY], probaly going on the wiki or reading or glogging or maybe even knitting a little. just so you won't be standing outside her door waiting for her to come out. (and it would also be kinda creepy, if you know what i mean, and im pretty sure you do.)
HOPE IT HELPS!!!

She woke up and we spent a world record number of hours at the mall! (I am NOT a shopper, but I had fun bc I was with Linz.) This is the third time in her entire 21 years that I have seen her TIRED. I think she may even go back to sleep again!
